On 19 November 2013 Ambassador of Ukraine to Italy Mr. Yevheniy Perelygin has participated at the high-level international conference «Ukraine-EU Deep and Comprehensive Free Trade Area: the new opportunities for Europe» organized by the Embassy of Ukraine and the Italian Institute of International Affairs.
During the speech Yevheniy Perelygin has informed participants on the main deliverables provided by the Ukrainian side in order to sign the Ukraine-EU Association Agreement at the «Eastern Partnership» Summit on 28-29 November this year. The key advantages of establishing of the Ukraine-EU Deep and Comprehensive Free Trade Area for the European business were highlighted.
More than 80 representatives of Italian political, business and expert establishment have taken part at the conference, among them President of the Italian Institute of International Affairs Mr. Nelli Feroci and Managing Director of one of the leading German Research Institutes «Berlin Economics» Mr. Ricardo Giucci. The participants of the event expressed the optimism regarding the opportunity of signing the Association Agreement between Ukraine and the EU within the framework of Vilnius Summit of the «Eastern Partnership». They also acknowledged the most valuable advantages of establishing of DCFTA both for Ukraine and the EU. Moreover Ukraine has been recognized as the leader of the EU foreign policy initiative «Eastern Partnership».
